On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is on the GWS 20 Seacat missile launcher deck on 02 deck looking forward and to port from 52 station on the starboard side showing the RAS (replenishment at sea) crate in its stowed position against the outside bulkhead of the launcher crew's shelter. On the left is the stowage frame for the missile launcher cover. The emergency conning position and the funnel are in the background.
