On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 30⅔ and 41 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 37 station showing two covered cable stowage brackets on the right. On the left are a large distribution fuse panel, the door to the officers' W.Cs., the door to the amplifier compartment, a transformer, a covered cable stowage bracket, the door to the weapons and electrical office and an international compressed air breathing apparatus cabinet. The watertight door at 30⅔ station is open. A vertical format negative.
