On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 41 and 49 stations on 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 46½ station showing a fire main, an emergency changeover switch and connection box, three fan starter panels, a first aid cabinet and a hose nozzle against the boiler downtake bulkhead.
