The photographer is in the sonar control room between 35¼ and 39 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and slightly to port from 38½ station showing the bearing console, the centre operator console, the range console and the depth console against the forward bulkhead. Against the ship's side on the right is the position of the rack range console operative. The chair of the officer in charge is on a raised platform on the left.
