A starboard side view of the Ellerman Line cruise ship City of Nagpur (1922) at Venice, Italy
A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Ellerman Line cruise ship City of Nagpur (1922) moored in the San Marco Basin at Venice, Italy. Her starboard anchor is suspended below its hawse and she is dressed overall. Banners with signs are rigged at the ships rail aft in way of the poop but the wording is indistinct because the negative is slightly out of focus. The photographer is looking south-west across the Riva Schiavoni showing an ornate lamp post and an sculpted stone archway in the foreground. In the right background is the Campanile of San Giorgio Maggiore.
