Inscribed below the image: 'HMS Edgar (Flag Ship Rear Admiral Dacres CB) R.Y.S. Eva. / Corfu Roads. / Island of Vido and the Mountain of San Salvador on Island of Corfu'. Made by Forster & Co. and published by Hodges, Smith & Co. Dublin. Sudney Colpoys Dacres was promoted to Rear-Admiral on the 25th June, 1858 and to Vice-Admiral on the 17th November, 1865.
