A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the control room between 59 and 69 stations on the main flat looking to port and up from 64 station showing a large number of gauges and handwheels against the boat's side. The tops of the vertical high pressure direct blow main panels are on the left with the gauges for Q and D1 tanks between them. In the lower centre is a Hydel valve control box and on the right is a gauge showing keel depth in feet. Near the top of the picture are a telemotor replenishing tank indicator, a telemotor control box, a telemotor accumulator charged indicator box , an hydrogen fan clearing switch box, a distribution box and a group of five fuse boxes.
