A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the control room between 59 and 69 stations on the main flat looking to port and down from 63½ station showing the vertical high pressure direct blow main panels and the gauges for D1 and D2 tanks on the left. In the centre is a Hydel valve control box with a clinometer and depth gauge on the right with seats in front of them. In the left foreground on the deck is a six drawer unit secured by a strongback and fitted with a cushion seat.
