A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the generator room between 77 and 92 stations looking aft from the main flat at 90 station showing a vice fixed to a work bench in the left foreground. A fire extinguisher and an air bottle are alongside this bench. Against the aft bulkhead at 92 station is a Paragon No. 5 semi rotary pump and to the left of it are two gauges, each measuring excess sea pressure and excess tank pressure. To the right of the pump is a gauge measuring excess air pressure and excess sea pressure. A klaxon relay box, a box marked 'No. 1 circulating water pump motor' and 'No. 2 circulating water pump motor' and an automatic emergency lantern are on the bulkhead to the left of the door into the motor room. A vertical format negative.
