A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the bunk space between 49 and 52 stations on the starboard side of the main flat looking forward and slightly up from 51½ station showing the top bunk of a fixed two tier bunk unit. Two loudspeakers are against the boat's side above the bunk. Against the forward bulkhead are two fuse boxes, junction box C4F, a fire extinguisher and the circular grilled vent in the battery intake trunk.
