The photographer is in the senior rates mess between 42 and 49 stations on the starboard side of the main flat looking to starboard from 48 station on the port side. A telephone is above a letter rack and a papers rack which are mounted on locker doors at 47 station against the starboard side of the boat. A triple tier bunk unit is against the aft bulkhead.
