The photographer is in the aft torpedo compartment between 108 and 117 stations on the main flat looking aft and to port from 112 station showing the closed door to the port torpedo tube (No. 8). The steering gear local control unit is against the port side of the boat and includes depth gauges, hydroplane order indicator, steering order indicator, bearing compass, clinometer, telephone and intercom microphone. A vertical format negative.
