A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the aft torpedo compartment between 108 and 117 stations on the main flat looking aft and slightly to starboard from 108 station showing an electric fire, a 2 KW fan heater and two lockers marked 'B.U. 6 short' under the deckhead. Against the starboard side of the boat are lockers S.E.I.E (submerged escape immersion equipment) 20, 18 and 15 and four lockers marked 'B.U. 6 short'. Two cushioned seats and a table/portable berth are in the foreground. The two stern torpedo tubes are in the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
