The photographer is in the junior rates mess between 34 and 44 stations on the main flat looking forward and to starboard from 40 station showing two triple tier bunk units, two folding tables, cushioned seats and an S.R.E. receiver cabinet marked L26 which is in front of the battery intake vent trunk. To the right of the open watertight door in the forward bulkhead are two fire extinguishers. A kettle is on the table on the right.
