Sealion (1959). In the control room between 59 and 69 stations on the main flat.

A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the control room between 59 and 69 stations looking forward and to port from 64 station showing the two planesmen's positions and part of the helmsman's position, which is against the forward bulkhead. A gauge showing the keel depth in feet is above a clinometer at the aft planesman's position on the left and similar equipment is at the forward planesman's position. Between the two are a broadcast and intercom control box above a sonar type 2004 recorder and a tank contents indication panel. Four 'O' tank gauges are on the transverse beam under the deckhead. The telephones at the helmsman's console are on the right. A vertical format negative.
