The Alarm R.Y.S. Joseph Weld, Esqr. Published in Hunt's Yachting Magazine August, 1853

This lithograph shows the 'Alarm' as she appeared after lengthening and conversion to schooner rig in 1852. She went to win against the Swedish schooner 'Sverige', and seven years later beat the yacht 'America'. Joseph Weld was her owner. In the background, to the right of the composition, two ships of the line are shown with their sails furled, from their stern. To the left, another yacht and ship of the line balance the composition. The image was published in Hunt's Yachting Magazine in August, 1853.
