Portable refractor telescope

This is a portable refracting telescope with a stand.

Telescope: The barrel is made from mahogany and brass. The eyepiece has a screw-on shade. The focus adjusting mechanism works by means of a brass screw on the side of the barrel which extends the eyepiece. It has an object cap and an achromatic object glass. The length with the eyepiece when extended with the object cap is 1011 mm. The height to the top of the barrel is 495 mm. The diameter of the barrel is 60 mm.

Stand: The telescope is mounted on a pillar stand with three folding claw legs. It can be dismantled for storage purposes. It has adjustable inclination and rotary movement (or altitude and azimuth movement).

Box and accessories: The oak box length is 790 mm. The box contains a spare lens with a cap and a key with an ivory handle for making adjustments. The spare eyepiece is missing.
