t'schip Amsterdam
A line engraving of the merchant ship 'Amsterdam' depicted from her port quarter. She is heading away from the picture, at apparent speed, her bow cutting through the deep swell of the sea. She is sailing close to a rocky coast with steep cliffs topped with foliage, shown to the right of the composition, while another ship can be made out on the distant horizon to her left.
