Portable reflector telescope
This is a portable reflector telescope by Edward Nairne.
Telescope: The barrel is made of brass. It has adjustable inclination and rotary movement. The screw-on eyepiece has a brass cap and there is an object end cap. Within the barrel are primary and secondary specula (mirrors). Screw thread focusing of the secondary mirror is done by use of the rod attatched to the barrel. The length with the eyepiece and object cap is 555 mm, the height to the top of the barrel is 405 mm and the diameter of the barrel is 90 mm. The barrel of the telescope is badly fingermarked.
Stand: The telescope is mounted on a brass pillar with three adjustable claw legs.
