Cutty Sark emblem

Steel sheet cut into shape of a shirt ( Cutty Sark). Front has 18 rivet heads for fixing on underside. Underside consists of three brackets with 6 rivets on each (three on each side), folded over in a cylinder shape to fit the wooden rod of the weather vane. Wooden rod is broken and only fits on the top and bottom bracket. Small metal clip with a hole in fits on the top and bottom of wooden rod. Originally fitted to main truck (main mast). Awarded to the ship by owner John Willis for making the best passage of the season in 1885 in the wool trade.
