A distant starboard side view of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Duchess of Richmond (1928) anchored off Freetown, Sierra Leone.

A distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Duchess of Richmond (1928) at anchor off Freetown, Sierra Leone. She has her starboard anchor deployed, is dressed overall and has an accommodation ladder rigged from her aft shell doors. A local sailing craft is in the foreground with a square sail boomed out on either beam and connected to the top and foot of the single mast. A rowing boat containing four men is also in the foreground. This is a duplicate negative and it is not in focus, especially the image of the cruise ship.
