A starboard bow view of the 3-masted wooden barque Elisa M (1921) berthed with other sailing vessels at Syracuse, Italy.
A starboard bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the 3-masted wooden barque Elisa M (1921) berthed with other sailing vessels at Syracuse, Italy. Her port anchor is deployed and she is moored stern-on to the quay. Either she has been re-rigged as a barquentine or the yards on her mainmast have been sent down. In Lloyd's Register she is always shown as a barque. An unidentified brigantine is alongside her and smaller sailing vessels are to port of her. She is in an Italian port and Syracuse is written on the negative, although this has not been confirmed. A vertical format negative.
