William Corbett, 1693 - 1753, Cashier of the Navy

A three-quarter length portrait, showing Corbett seated, slightly to the right, wearing a blue waistcoat and breeches trimmed with gold braid and a grey coat with wide cuffs. His right hand is on his hip and his left hand rests on a table. Corbett was appointed a Commissioner of the Royal Navy in 1743; by the time of his death ten years later, he was Controller of the Treasurer's Accounts and Secretary to Greenwich Hospital.
