The Type 81 frigate Gurkha (1960) in dry dock at Southampton. She was docked between 13 and 26 October 1962 for final hull cleaning and painting before her steaming trials. The photographer is at the bottom of the dock looking to port at the monitor hydrophone (hull outfit 5A) in the partially lowered position in the keel between 7 and 8 stations.
