The Type 81 frigate Gurkha (1960) in dry dock at Southampton. She was docked between 13 and 26 October 1962 for final hull cleaning and painting before her steaming trials. The photographer is at the bottom of the dock looking aft and to port at the pitometer log in the lowered position in the keel between 47 and 47¼ stations. A vertical format negative.
