The photographer is in the conversion machinery room between 45 and 48 stations on 4 deck looking forward and to starboard from near the centreline at 47½ station. The pitometer log tube and a small motor generator with a voltage regulator above it are on the left. Two large motor generators are in the centre of the room. A contactor panel and starter panel are against the forward bulkhead. Against the ship's side are two searchlight rectifiers and two 5 KW 24V rectifiers.
