The photographer is in the hangar between 71½ and 76 stations on1 deck looking to port from the starboard side showing three of the four lift machinery gearboxes and chains. Against the forward bulkhead is the avcat fuelling and defuelling system with the diesel filter, starter panel and cable. Against the port bulkhead is a fire extinguisher. Against the aft bulkhead are a vertical steel ladder with gas cylinders stowed behind it, the watertight door to the 4.5" handing room and gun crew's shelter and the door into the torpedo maintenance compartment.
