The photographer is in the steering gear compartment between 85 and 95 stations on 2 deck looking aft and to port from the starboard forward corner showing the steering engine enclosed in a wire mesh cage. An emergency change over switch and connection box, two starter panels, a writing slope and a small nest of shelves are fitted to the front of the cage.
