The photographer is standing in the main passageway between 32 and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft from 33 station. On the left are the hatch leading down to the hull outfit 20 (Asdic type 177) compartment, an hand hoisting winch, two fire extinguishers, the stairs up to 1 deck, the hatch down to 3 deck, and the door to the forward fan chamber. On the right are damage control lockers with hose racks and cable stowage between them. The watertight doors at 41 and 45 stations are open showing a water cooler against the bulkhead of the midship fan chamber at 55 station. A vertical format negative.
