On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) alongside the fitting out berth of J Samuel White & Co Ltd at West Cowes, Isle of Wight. The photographer is in the crew's galley and preparing space between 45 and 50 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft from the starboard side at 45½ station. Against the ship's side are a sink unit, a stainless steel dresser with shelves under and above and a gravity meat slicer. On the port side are a boiling plate unit and a dresser unit. Against the aft bulkhead are three boiling coppers, steaming ovens and a roasting oven.
