The photographer is in the wardroom between 50 and 56 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking aft and to starboard from the port forward corner showing the table set athwartships with fourteen chairs round it. A wooden cupboard unit incorporating a pistol cupboard is against the starboard bulkhead next to the door which has an automatic emergency lantern alongside it. Settees are on either side of the electric fire set against the aft bulkhead with armchairs and coffee tables in front. A painting of the destroyer Gurkha (1937) under air attack off Stavanger, Norway, on 9th April 1940 is hanging above the fireplace.
