The photographer is in the C.P.Os' mess between 67 and 73 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to port and slightly aft from the starboard side at 68 station showing the lounge area of the mess. Two cupboards, a bookshelf and an electric fire are against the forward bulkhead on the right. A club fender is in front of the fire and the centre of the area is occupied by two folding tables and easy chairs. Three triple tier settee bunk units form the aft and port boundaries of the lounge area.
