The Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in dry dock in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. She was in dry dock from 4 October to 25 October 1973. The photographer is on the bottom of the dock looking up and to starboard showing the lubricating oil cooler pump suctions at 61 station in the port side of the hull. No. 9 Ford has been chalked on the hull. A man's hand is touching one of the gratings.
