The Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in dry dock in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. She was in dry dock from 4 October to 25 October 1973. The photographer is on the bottom of the dock looking forward and to port showing a close view of the starboard stabiliser in the extended position between 54½ and 55 stations. Ford No. 10 has been chalked on the hull. A man is holding a scale stick against the hull.
