The Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in dry dock in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. She was in dry dock from 4 October to 25 October 1973. The photographer is on the bottom of the dock looking up and to port showing a close view of the fire pump sea suction inlet at 44¾ station in the starboard side of the hull. Ford No. 11 has been chalked on the hull. A man's hand is touching the grating.
