The Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is looking forward and to port from the quayside at the east end of the basin showing a starboard quarter view of the ship. The ship is berthed port side to the quay and her pendant number is F119. The AKE1 bedstead aerial of her type 965 radar at the top of the foremast is trained to port. The dumb power barge MAC 1010 is outboard of the Eskimo (1961).
