On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge between 40 and 43½ stations on 01 deck looking forward and to port from the centreline at 43 station showing a table, a telephone and the door to the port bridge wing on the left. Against the forward screen are a cupboard, a microphone, a CO² fire extinguisher, a telephone and a warning bell. A vertical format negative.
