The photographer is in the handing space between 45½ and 47½ stations on the centreline of 01 deck looking forward. In the foreground is a deck mounted bollard winch. On the left is the door to the officers' W.C. Against the bulkhead are two 3 inch rocket magazine flood valves, a telephone marked "Magazine Line" and two boards, the top board being marked "Miller's flap. Upper cabin flat No. 1 deck".
