The photographer is looking forward from the starboard side of the hangar roof at 72½ station on 01 deck showing the emergency conning position, the simple tachometric director, the port and starboard close range blind fire directors, the funnels and the foremast. Flight deck landing lights are fitted either side of the jalousie vents and the guide path indicator is under these vents on the after funnel. The canvas covers of the blind fire directors are closed and the AKE1 bedstead aerial of the type 965 long range surveillance radar is at the masthead. A vertical format negative.
