On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the electronic warfare office between 42 and 43 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to starboard showing a noticeboard and the door into the electronic warfare transmitter room on the left. Against the aft bulkhead are a large console and a desk equipped with a morse key, a typewriter and a recorder/reproducer unit. Against the starboard bulkhead are a fire extinguisher, an automatic emergency lantern, an heat exchanger and fan starter unit, a tape recorder loudspeaker exchange unit, two tape reel stowage cabinets, three dimmer switches and a clock reading 10.16½.
