On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the wardroom between 50 and 56 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking forward and to starboard from 54 station showing the end of the wardroom table with five chairs round it. Against the forward bulkhead is a sideboard and a glass fronted cupboard is in the corner. A framed photograph of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and a long wooden shaft with leather wrappings and a hooked end, probably an Inuit object, are against the starboard bulkhead.
