The photographer is in the engineer officer's cabin between 48¾ and 51 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to port showing a desk with a bookshelf and cupboard above it and a wash hand basin against the forward bulkhead. On the desk are a diary open at January 1974, a rubber stamp, a paper punch, a torch and batteries and a pen holder with a calendar showing September 1973. A Mark IV combination safe is against the port bulkhead next to the door. A vertical format negative.
