On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is on the starboard side of 1 deck at 67½ station looking to port across the athwartships walkway between 67 and 68 stations ahead of the Mark 10 Limbo mortar well. The steel box covering the primary spray valve to the mortar projectile room is on the left. Six hoses are laid on the deck running into the quartermaster's lobby and cleansing station. The ship is berthed port side to the south wall of the basin. A vertical format negative.
