On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the torpedo maintenance compartment between 74 and 75 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to port showing a fuse panel, a vacuum pump motor, torpedo fuzes cabinets and the torpedo air bottle recharging panel against the aft bulkhead. A steel bench with drawers and cupboards under is in the corner with a torpedo maintenance trolley next to it. Two nitrogen bottles are stowed against the port bulkhead and depth charge stretchers are under the deckhead. A vertical format negative.
