The photographer is on the starboard side of the quarterdeck at 80 station looking aft and to port showing the davit for the sonar type 182 in the starboard aft corner and the two towed bodies for the type 182 are stowed abaft the capstan. Two large cable reels with wheeled trollies are in the foreground. Two dan buoys are laid fore and aft on the port side of the deck. The ship is berthed port side to the south wall of the basin.
