On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the electronics maintenance room between 34 and 38½ stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard showing the senior rating's desk against the starboard bulkhead. A six drawerfiling cabinet is under the desk and job card panels, a notice board, cupboards and a bookshelf are above it. A main broadcast loudspeaker, a communications loudspeaker and fuse panels are against the forward bulkhead. Next to the door are an automatic emergency lantern and a CO² fire extinguisher.
