On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the provision issue room between 38½ and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port showing a stainless steel bench with drawers under against the aft bulkhead. A weighing scale, two cartons of Batchelors soup mixes, a folder filing rack, paper plates, serviettes and napkins are on the bench and shelves are above it. A shelf and a 1974 daily planning chart are against the ship's side. A framed certificate in supervisory studies (catering) awarded to Colin George Saw in 1972 is standing on a hull longitudinal.
