On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the passageway between 32 and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 38 station showing a telephone and a breathing apparatus hose on either side of the access door to the forward fan chamber. On the right are a damage control breathing apparatus cabinet and a CO² fire extinguisher. The watertight door at 41 station is closed but not clipped.
