On board the Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in No. 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. The photographer is in the passageway between 32 and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard from 34½ station showing the air tight door in the gun support with an emergency connection box to the right. A fire main, fire extinguisher and hose basket are in the corner. Against the starboard bulkhead are a starter, a telephone and a resistance box.
