The photographer is in the crew's mess between 32 and 38¾ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and slightly to port from 36 station showing the door into No. 3 amplifier room with a clock reading 10.42 mounted on it. Next to the door is a mirror and a 1974 Coca-Cola calendar. A folding table and two chairs are in the foreground and a teapot, bottle of milk, tea strainer, sugar bowl, two mugs, a can of Coca-Cola, cigarettes, a lighter and an ashtray are on the table. A settee is on the right with three cans of Coca-Cola, a clock reading 02.20, a posted card box, a Peters & Lee photograph and the mess tally board on the back of it. A large poster of the Golden Gate Bridge is above the settee. Christmas decorations are hanging from the deckhead.
